The 3M™ Particulate Filter 2071 is NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles.
Use with 3M™ Respirators, 5000 Series or 3M™ Cartridge, 6000 Series with 3M™ Adapter, 502, or 3M™ Half and Full Facepiece, 6000, 3M™ Half and Full Facepiece, 7000, and 3M™ Half and Full Facepiece, FF-400 Series with bayonet filter holders. When properly fitted, use in a variety of applications such as grinding, sanding and welding for concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces or 50 times PEL with full facepieces. Full facepieces must be quantitatively fit tested to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. The filter is both flame and water resistant. 3M™ Particulate Filter 2091, P100 helps provide respiratory protection against exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA. The filter is effective for concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces, or 50 times PEL with quantitatively fit tested full facepieces. This filter helps protect against a wide range of oil and non-oil based particulate contaminants. 3M’s Advanced Electret Media (AEM) provides a comfortable lightweight, easy-breathing combination. ANDREAE Standard Filters are used in the exhaust of paint booths for over-spray collection.
The front V-shaped wall prevents over-spray bounce back and migration. The deeper V-shape of the back wall is the paint holding pocket.
The exhaust holes are misaligned to divert the paint laden airflow to the holding pocket, where the paint is captured, while maintaining a constant flow during the loading phase.
