Our 3M™ White Masking Paper is specially treated to resist heat from paint booths and penetration by paint solvents, urethanes, base coats and clear coats – ideal for collision repair. It is tightly bonded, virtually eliminating lint or fiber contamination that can occur using paper masking. And its thin but conformable construction makes it easy to handle, boosting shop efficiency.

How Our Masking Paper Improves Your Collision Repair Designed specifically for automotive aftermarket applications, our 3M™ White Masking Paper (PDF, 34 Kb) helps you work more efficiently during a full range of masking jobs large and small. It is durable yet conformable and is available in a variety of sizes, making it easy to handle for protecting even irregular vehicle surfaces from paint overspray. This paper is specially treated to resist penetration by paint solvents, base coats, clear coats and urethanes, reducing rework caused by bleed-through. It also withstands heat — the masking paper can hold up during a bake cycle up to 400°F (204°C) for 30 minutes, making it suitable for use in paint booths.

Patterned, precise mineral structures give Trizact™ abrasives the combination of fast cut and consistent finish every time. Use P1000 foam blending discs for scuff sanding blend panels prior to painting. Use P1500 clearcoat sanding discs for leveling dust nibs and sanding of mismatched orange peel. Finally, use P3000 foam disc for removing P1200-P1500 grade sand scratches prior to use of 3M™ Perfect-It™ polishing system. Use to level minor dust nibs and for light sanding of mismatched orange peel on all automotive paints. Our exclusive abrasive provides a uniform and consistent finish.

Norton Bear-Tex Thin-Flex Scuff Discs are an incredibly flexible, yet strong product. They are perfect for use on contoured surfaces and for getting into tight spaces. They can be used for fine finishing and surface preparation.
Area of application: Grinds finer for easier sanding. Good adhesion on steel, aluminum, galvanized, fiber glass and different types of plastic. Recoatable with all basecoats and water basecoats.
