3M 08219 SMC/Fibreglass 35min Repair Adhesive
The 3M 8219, Automix / Fiberglass Repair Adhesiveis a two-part urethane adhesive that is used to bond SMC and FRP (traditional fiberglass) body panels to each other and to metal. It is designed to bond composite and metal to each other, along with metal to metal applications. Requires 3M 08117, Applicator Gun to apply.
Large panel adhesive is a strong, multi-use, glass-sphere filled epoxy that provides a superior bond. Use for bonding metal, fiberglass, SMC and aluminum. Glass-spheres assist you in maintaining proper bond line thickness. Work Time: 75 – 85 minutes. Unclamp Time: 4 1⁄2 hrs
XPST Flexible Epoxy is a two-component flexible modified epoxy designed for the repair of flexible plastics. XPST is formulated to work on all flexible plastics including the more common (TPUR, PUR, RIM). XPST is also compatible with the traditional “tough to bond” plastics (PP, TPO, TPE). This product is designed as an adhesive and as a filler to be used on the front and backsides of a repair. XPST can also be used over our Urethane Repair material (XSMAF). XPST is an outstanding flexible filler that is commonly used as a glaze coat over all types of plastics due to its easy sanding and featheredging characteristics. XPST bonds, fills, and sands with outstanding performance. This flexible adhesive/filler is used and approved by automotive OEMs such as GM, Toyota, VW and many others. The “Original Plastic Surgery” as used by the professionals.
For dry sanding old paint, primer, primer surfacer, and between-color coats; also for deburring, removing sand scratches, shaping and finishing plastic filler, and featheredging repaired areas. Special No-Fil coating prevents premature loading. Can be cut into halves or thirds to fit neatly on jitterbug sanders.
3M™ Dry Guide Coat and Applicator Kit is a dry powder with applicator used to highlight surface imperfections and sand scratches prior to finishing with abrasives. When sanding polyester filler, it ensures the end result is flat with no ripples and that the body styling lines and contours are straight and correct. It also ensures the total primed area is sanded prior to top coating. It requires no masking and there is no dry time involved. It can also be used for both wet and dry sanding and contains no solvents. 3M™ Dry Guide Coat and Applicator Kit contains an applicator pad.
