PARTICULATE FILTER 2297, P100The 3M™ Advanced Particulate Filter 2297 is designed to make breathing easier while lasting longer. NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles. 3M recommended for relief against nuisance level organic vapours and for ozone protection up to 10X OSHA PEL.
Use with 3M™ Respirators 5000 Series or 3M™ Cartridge 6000 Series with 3M™ Adapter 502, or 3M™ Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000 and FF-400 Series with bayonet filter holders. When properly fitted, use in a variety of applications including welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring, soldering, and exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA for concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half Facepieces or 50 times PEL with full facepieces. Full facepieces must be quantitatively fit tested to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. Also offers nuisance level relief from organic vapours that are below the PEL. Nuisance level refers to concentrations not exceeding OSHA PEL or other applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. The filter is both flame and water resistant. Not NIOSH certified for use against ozone. Do not use for respiratory protection against organic vapours or in environments that are Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH).

This filter helps protect against a wide range of oil and non-oil based particulate contaminants. 3M’s Advanced Electret Media (AEM) provides a comfortable lightweight, easy-breathing combination. The 3M™ Particulate Filter 2091 is commonly used for welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring and soldering. The filter is both flame and water resistant. 3M™ Particulate Filter 5N11, N95 helps provide respiratory protection in environments containing certain non-oil based particles. When properly fitted, use with appropriate cartridges for various applications including spray painting, petrochemical and chemical manufacturing, and pesticide spraying for concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces, or 50 times PEL with quantitatively fit tested full facepieces. The filter protects against 1) solids such as those from processing minerals, coal, iron ore, cotton, flour, and certain other substances; 2) liquids or non-oil based particles from sprays that do not emit harmful vapours; and 3) metal fumes produced from welding, brazing, cutting, and other operations involving heating of metals.
